Overtime Allowance

I really didn’t want to work on the weekend, but I had no choice. The project deadline was approaching, and time was running out. The only advantage--if I could even call it that--was that I got to work alongside the team leader from the other department, someone I’d recently taken an interest in. I wasn’t sure if that was actually a plus, but in any case, I kept pushing through my tasks. But seriously--why isn’t this working?!
